SKALD: Against the Black Priory spotlights its retro RPG art style in new trailer

Developer Scape-IT AS and publisher Raw Fury have shared a new look at SKALD: Against the Black Priory at the Guerilla Collective 3 event.

In its initial reveal, we mentioned that Skald is a retro RPG that takes inspiration from titles such as Ultimate, Pools of Darknessand other Gold Box RPGs from the late 80s to early 90s.

The new trailer continues to display the carefully crafted pixel art style homage of these classic RPGs. Several gameplay elements are also shown in the brief new trailer with a party of adventurers exploring a world map as the day progresses as the player moves around. Some battles also occur, with a pixelated lightning spell zapping an enemy and an encounter taking place in some sort of crypt. A few event scenes also highlight the incredible amount of detail that goes into the game’s NPCs.

SKALD: Against the Black Priory arrives at the end of 2022 on PC (Steam, GOG).
